American Capital Ltd Bottom Line Rises 157% In Q3

(RTTNews) - American Capital Ltd (ACAS) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $108 million, or $0.40 per share. This was higher than $42 million, or $0.24 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.25 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 36.4% to $176 million. This was up from $129 million last year.
