Amedica Q1 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - Amedica Corp. (AMDA) posted first-quarter net loss of $4.7 million, wider than $3.5 million in the comparable quarter last year. Loss per share for the latest first quarter narrowed to $0.79 from $8.45 per share last year.

Two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a a loss of $0.31 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the latest first quarter, total product revenue increased by 10% to $5.8 million, from $5.3 million in the prior year. Analysts expected revenues of $5.95 million for the quarter.
