AMC Networks Q2 Profit Drops, Revenue Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AMC Networks Inc. (AMCX) Thursday said second-quarter net income attributable to its stockholders fell to $58.66 million from $135.73 million last year. Earnings per share dropped to $0.81 from $1.87.

Income from continuing operations fell to $0.83 from $1.87.

The prior-year results included $132.94 million in a legal settlement gain.

Adjusted earnings per share were $0.90, compared to $1.98 last year. On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.85 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenues climbed to $522.09 million from $379.32 million last year, led by 8.7 percent growth at National Networks and an increase of $111 million at International and Other. Analysts expected revenues of $514.56 million.
