AMC Networks Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AMC Networks Inc. (AMCX) reported that its first-quarter income from continuing operations increased to $72 million or $0.99 per share, from $62 million or $0.85 per share, last year. The company said the increase resulted primarily from the growth in operating income. Total earnings per share was $0.98, compared to $0.85. Adjusted earnings per share, which excludes the impact of the amortization of acquisition related intangible assets, was $1.04 per share for the quarter.
