Alcantara's New TARA Special Collection Introduced At Paris Deco Off

PARIS, Jan. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Alcantara, maker of the Italian-made luxury registered material for the design world, recently presented a creative melting pot of interior design solutions featuring its new TARA special collection at Paris Deco Off at Galerie ArtCube in Saint Germain's Place de Furstemberg.

Created by French designer Inga Sempé, TARA is a special collection of luxury materials in a variety of graphic variations and colors. It was displayed throughout the gallery on walls, ceilings and even floors to produce an almost disorienting impression.

Alcantara collaborated with industry partners in home furnishings, consumer electronics and transportation to dress a sofa, television set and a city car in TARA for the five-day show. On display were:

• A Ruché sofa designed by Sempé for Ligne Roset, Alcantara's French market partner. Ruché takes its name from the folded fabrics used for clothing. The sofa featured a quilted application of Alcantara TARA.
• The Frame, a television from Samsung. The television's screen when turned off exhibited the TARA collection's graphic designs on one of the gallery's walls.
• An Ape Calessino Piaggio city vehicle. Synonymous with both modernity and tradition, the vehicle was dressed in TARA. An iconic vehicle that combines glamor and Italian style, the car was customized with TARA seats, soft-top and doors.
