Akamai to Expand Headquarters in Cambridge to Accommodate Continued Business Growth

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading global service provider for accelerating content and applications online, today announced the Company has finalized a lease agreement with Boston Properties Inc. to expand its corporate headquarters at Eight Cambridge Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as well as to occupy four floors in a nearby building. As of June 1, 2009, Akamai will occupy all of the property at Eight Cambridge Center, as well as four floors at Four Cambridge Center, for a total of over 250,000 square feet. The agreement represents an expansion of over 110,000 square feet from its current lease holdings in Cambridge.
