Agilent Technologies Q3 Profit Rises 9%

(RTTNews) - Agilent Technologies (A) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $160 million, or $0.49 per share. This was up from $147 million, or $0.44 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.47 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.0% to $1.04 billion. This was up from $1.01 billion last year.
