After-market Movers For Jan 16 (INTC, COF, RDEN, SSNI, ARQL)

ArQule Inc. (ARQL) gained 23 percent to $2.90 based on the news the Data Monitoring Committee approved continuation of Phase 3 METIV-HCC liver cancer trial following safety and pharmacokinetic analyses.

Decliners:

Intel Corp. (INTC) declined over 3 percent to $25.63. The company's fourth quarter profit improved from the previous year period, but missed Wall Street view. Revenue for the quarter rose 3 percent and topped the consensus estimate.

Capital One Financial Corp. (COF) decreased 2 percent to $75.00 . The company's fourth quarter profit was higher then in the previous year period, but missed Street view. Revenues for the quarter declined from the year-ago quarter.

Elizabeth Arden, Inc. (RDEN) fell 21 percent to $27.00. The company lowered its second quarter guidance primarily due to lower than anticipated net sales. The company said its results were significantly impacted by an increased level of highly promotional and discounted activity globally and weaker than anticipated holiday retail sales and replenishment orders at a number of its non-prestige retail accounts in North America.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of Silver Spring Networks, Inc. (SSNI) was halted. The company expects its fourth quarter and 2013 results below analysts' expectations. The company said it did not close a few expected deals which impacted its fourth quarter results.
