AerCap Holdings Q3 Results Beat Estimates - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER) reported that its third-quarter of 2013 net income attributable to the company increased to $83.65 million or $0.73 per share, from $57.91 million or $0.45 per share in the same quarter last year.

Quarterly adjusted net income was $89.4 million, compared with $62.2 million for the same period in 2012. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.79, compared with $0.48 last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Third quarter 2013 adjusted net income increased 44% over the same period in 2012 driven primarily by income generated from aircraft sales in the third quarter of 2013, and the elimination of the negative impact from defaults and restructurings incurred during the third quarter of 2012.

Third quarter 2013 adjusted earnings per share increased 63% over the same period in 2012 driven primarily by the higher income as well as the share repurchases completed in 2012.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $279.37 million from $269.52 million in the prior year quarter. Eight analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $255.68 million for the quarter.
