Latest Edition in Conservation Book Series to be Unveiled at Houston Museum of Natural Science Event on Feb. 2

    CEMEX, Inc. (NYSE:CX), Conservation International and Agrupacion Sierra Madre will present "Hotspots Revisited," the 12th edition in CEMEX's conservation book series, at a special event at the Houston Museum of Natural Science on Feb. 2, 2005.
    "Hotspots Revisited" highlights 34 regions where 75 percent of the world's most threatened mammals, birds and amphibians survive within habitat that covers just 2.3 percent of the Earth's surface. One of the hotspots featured in the book includes a part of Big Bend National Park in Texas.
    Since the inception of the conservation book program in 1993, CEMEX has donated these works to global conservation groups such as Conservation International, World Wildlife Fund and the World Conservation Union, allowing them to sell these books to help fund their conservation projects. In addition, more than 175,000 books have been donated to universities, research institutions, governments and libraries worldwide.
