Advanced Energy Industries Q4 Adj. Profit Beats Estimate; Issues Q1 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (AEIS) Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $34.4 million, or $0.83 per share, compared to $4.8 million or $0.13 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted earnings from continuing operations excluding restructuring charges rose to $ 0.55 per share from $0.16 per share last year. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.48 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales for the quarter rose to $152.58 million from $112.97 million last year, while six analysts estimated revenues of $150.75 million for the quarter.

Looking forward to the first quarter, the company expects earnings of $0.36 to $0.42 per share,adjusted earnings of $0.41 to $0.47 per share and sales of $138 million to $146 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.48 per share on revenues of 150.75 million for the quarter.
