Actavis Receives French Competition Authority Approval For Warner Deal

(RTTNews) - Actavis, Inc. (ACT) and Warner Chilcott plc (WCRX) announced they have received approval from the French Competition Authority for Actavis' pending acquisition of Warner Chilcott. The companies previously received approval from the German Federal Cartel Office for the acquisition.

The companies have now received all ex-U.S. antitrust clearances required to complete the transaction.

Warner Chilcott is a leading specialty pharmaceutical company currently focused on the women's healthcare, gastroenterology, urology and dermatology segments of the branded pharmaceuticals market, primarily in North America.
