ACI Worldwide Q2 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - ACI Worldwide, Inc. (ACIW) a developer of software products and services for electronic payments, Wednesday reported second-quarter net loss of $2.2 million, wider than $1.8 million in the comparable quarter last year. Loss per share for the latest second quarter was $0.05, same as last year.

On an adjusted basis, net income for the quarter was $2.9 million, or $0.07 per share.

Seven analysts on average polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings per share of $0.31 for the period. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Revenue for the period rose to $162.01 million from $137.63 million last year, while non-GAAP revenue for the latest second quarter was $163.13 million, up from $141.92 million in the year-ago period. Analysts however had estimated higher revenue of $210.25 million.

Looking forward, the company said it is lowering its non-GAAP revenue to a range of $865 million to $885 million, from its previous range of $895 million and $915 million. Analysts currently expect revenue of $893.20 million.
