AccessLine Chooses Intrado V9-1-1 Mobility Service for Enterprise VoIP
Business Editors/High-Tech Writers
LONGMONT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2005--Intrado Inc. (NASDAQ: TRDO), a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions, announced today that AccessLine Communications, a leading provider of hosted and managed voice services for large and small businesses nationwide, has chosen Intrado(R) V9-1-1(SM) Mobility Service for integration into its enterprise VoIP solution. AccessLine is the first enterprise provider to sign up for the service.
V9-1-1 Mobility Service is the first nationwide E9-1-1 solution for VoIP that supports mobile and nomadic users, remote users, static users and users with numbers foreign to the local rate center. With the service, VoIP 9-1-1 calls can be routed within the existing 9-1-1 network, delivering Automatic Location Information (ALI) and Automatic Number Information (ANI) on dedicated 9-1-1 trunks to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
"As the first VoIP service provider focused exclusively on the business marketplace, AccessLine Communications carefully researched the best implementation approaches for E9-1-1 service for our enterprise customers," said Fred Epler, Chief Scientist. "By choosing Intrado's V9-1-1 solution, AccessLine will be first in the country with the ability to serve the business marketplace with a comprehensive VoIP offering including fully transparent E911 service, similar to existing wireline services."
According to Frost & Sullivan, the North American enterprise IP telephony market is estimated to be $1.58 billion in 2004 with growth expectations of $3.6 billion in 2009. Intrado is leading the way in providing valuable E9-1-1 solutions for this growing market.
"Intrado V9-1-1 Mobility Services allows enterprises to give their employees the same level of E9-1-1 services available to traditional wireline users, even as they travel or work remotely," said Stephen Meer, Intrado chief technology officer. "We look forward to working with other enterprise VoIP providers to help them cost effectively and quickly meet their enterprise customers' VoIP 9-1-1 requirements."
