Absolute Software Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Absolute Software Corp. (ABT.TO) posted fourth-quarter net income of $0.8 million or $0.02 per share, compared to $0.4 million or $0.01 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.04 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the latest fourth quarter rose 6% to $23.34 million from $21.98 million, while six analysts expected revenue of $23.74 million for the quarter.

Further, the company said its Board of Directors has approved a change in the company's dividend policy. The quarterly dividend will increase from $0.06 to $0.07 per common share and this increase is expected to be implemented in the second quarter of fiscal 2015. There is no change to the current $0.06 per share dividend scheduled to be paid on August 28, 2014 to those persons who were shareholders of record at the close of business on August 7, 2014.
