A.C. Moore Announces Retirement of Craig R. Davis

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACMR) announced that Craig R. Davis is retiring from his position as the Company’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing effective May 8, 2009.

Rick A. Lepley, Chief Executive Officer, said, "For nearly two years, Craig has provided A.C. Moore with strong knowledge of arts and crafts and extensive industry experience. We are very appreciative of his service during this phase of the Company’s turnaround and wish him the best in his retirement.”

Mr. Davis said, "While I am looking forward to returning to my home in Tennessee, I will miss working with the people at A.C. Moore. I have enjoyed my time with the Company and have great respect for the team. I firmly believe that the Company has the right focus on programs and initiatives that will benefit the business over the long-term.”

Mr. Davis served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing for A.C. Moore since July 2007.
