U.S. Bank Offers Financial Assistance to Flooded Nashville

U.S. Bank has developed a special relief package to support individuals, families and businesses impacted by recent storms and flooding in the Nashville area. Existing and new customers can apply for emergency small business loans up to $25,000, or for low-interest auto, reduced unsecured five-year loans, or special home equity credit line rates. More than 50 automated teller machines are available for people to use throughout the area.

Dedicated customer service representatives are available to assist individuals and businesses that have been significantly affected and who have suffered a loss. Impacted customers should stop by any U.S. Bank office or call 888-444-BANK (2265). Small business customers can call U.S. Bank at 800-673-3555.

"One of the great things about this company is our ability to be flexible and accommodate the needs of our customers and communities that are in a state of emergency,” said Ward Wilson, the market president for U.S. Bank in Nashville. "We will be reaching out to customers in many ways and ask that if anyone has been displaced or is in need of financial support to call us or stop by any of our U.S. Bank offices throughout Tennessee.”

U.S. Bank will be making a donation to the American Red Cross’ flood relief efforts. It is also supporting "Hands on Nashville,” an organization set up by the Mayor’s office Emergency Management, to facilitate volunteer clean up efforts in Davidson County. Donations can be made to the Hands on Nashville fund at any U.S. Bank office.

U.S. Bank employees who were impacted by the floods have dedicated human resource and employee assistance programs available to them providing everything from financial assistance to stress counseling. U.S. Bank has also empowered local managers to offer employees impacted by the flood special dispensation to take care of their families or their neighborhoods.

There are more than 600 employees across the state and more than 50 U.S. Bank offices throughout Middle Tennessee. No U.S. Bank properties incurred structural loss or damages. Four were temporarily closed just after the flooding due to electricity loss, two traditional offices at 7612 US Highway 70 South and 150 4^th Avenue North, and two Publix in-store office locations at 4^th Avenue North and 8028B Hwy 100 in Nashville, but all now have employees standing by to assist customers.

U.S. Bank will employ its standard credit qualification procedures for all loan requests in the flood assistance program. To participate, consumers or small business owners should have proof of damage, such as insurance forms, estimates of repair costs or other documentation, and their most recent tax return. The small business loan will be available as long as the loan is booked by June 30, 2010.
