TSYS Continues Expansion in Germany with New Appointments

TSYS today announced that it has made additional appointments to its Relationship Management team in Germany, following the signing of two new clients in 2010, B+S Card Service and Degussa Bank.

Troy Alvarez has been appointed as TSYS Director, Relationship Management for B+S Card Service, with TSYS providing back-office merchant acceptance services across Europe for B+S Card Service beginning in 2011. Alvarez’s previous role was Vice President, Product Management for TSYS Acquiring Solutions, U.S., where he was responsible for the management of the acquiring portfolio of products and services, as well as the development of new capabilities to support continued global expansion. Prior to his tenure with TSYS, Alvarez worked for a number of technology companies based in Germany and the U.S. and is a fluent German speaker.

Beate Bader has been appointed as TSYS Account Manager for Degussa Bank, with TSYS providing a broad range of products and services for its corporate and business clients. Bader joins TSYS with previous experience from German-based Atos Worldline Processing, where she was a key account manager. Her role included various account management positions in payment processing companies, including Telecash, a provider of point-of-sale solutions.

Last year TSYS appointed Norbert Bernecker as the Account Director for Deutsche Bank, which signed with TSYS in 2008 and converted in 2009. Bernecker has more than 20 years experience in the German credit card industry, working in financial institutions, consultancy and payments processing in senior management roles.

The appointees will be based at TSYS’ office in Frankfurt, Germany, joining the existing Consulting, Business Development and Relationship Management team currently operating in the country.
