Technip Denies Media Speculation On Merger Talks - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Refuting media speculation about potential sale or combination, French Oil services provider Technip SA (TNHPF.PK, TKPPY.PK) Thursday stated that there are no ongoing discussions with respect to such transactions.

The company was responding to recent press articles with respect to possible strategic transactions involving Technip.

Earlier, media reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that Technip is exploring a sale and has held advanced merger talks with U.S. peer FMC Technologies Inc (FTI).

The people reportedly said that Technip and FMC have not yet agreed on terms, and that Technip has also held talks with other potential buyers.
