Simpson Manufacturing Q4 Profit Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Simpson Manufacturing Co. Inc. (SSD) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $7.7 million, or $0.16 per share, compared to $5.9 million, or $0.12 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Net sales for the latest fourth quarter rose 10.8 percent to $160.32 million from $144.69 million last year. The increase in the fourth quarter 2013 net sales comprised increased sales in the North America and Asia/Pacific segments, with North America reporting the largest increase in dollars.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.11 per share on revenues of $158.66 million for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.
