Planar Systems Partners with Matrox Graphics to Add State-of-the-Art Graphics to Dome Displays; High-End Performance with Long-Term Configuration Stability Boosts Dome Imaging Capabilities

Medical imaging customers are demanding graphics controllers forthe latest in accelerated 3-D and volumetric rendering, 2-D colorimaging and image fusion. The powerful Matrox Graphics displaycontroller boards enable Planar to bring these capabilities to itsDome displays.

Dome displays with Matrox Graphics display controller boards willbe available at the end of March and come with Dome CXtra(TM)software, which monitors, controls and adjusts DICOM calibration ofthe displays to the users' desired luminance across all gray levels.
