Pentair Acquires Krystil Klear to Complement Existing Filtration Business

Pentair (NYSE:PNR) today announced that it has acquiredthe assets of Krystil Klear, a privately held company, to complementexisting businesses in its Water Group.

Krystil Klear expands Pentair's industrial filtration productoffering to include a broad range of steel and stainless steel housingand filtration solutions. Pentair's filtration business serves theresidential, municipal, commercial, and industrial markets withfiltration housings, cartridge elements, tanks, valves, and otherfiltration system components.

"The bolt-on acquisition of Krystil Klear enhances our presence inthe industrial liquid filtration markets, increases our productportfolio and expands our industrial distribution footprint," saidMichael V. Schrock, president and chief operating officer ofFiltration and Technical Products. "With this acquisition, we furtherstrengthen Pentair's filtration position in a broad array ofindustrial end markets; including paper, food, chemical andpharmaceutical. Pentair's existing filtration cartridges, coupled withKrystil Klear's strength in steel and stainless steel industrialhousings, provides an expanded line of liquid filtration products forour customers."

Krystil Klear is headquartered in Winamac, Indiana and employsapproximately 60 people. In 2005, the company recorded sales ofapproximately $8 million.
