InventHelp Inventor Develops Overflow Collector for Boat Fuel Tanks (FED-1788)

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- An inventor from Deer Harbor, Wash., was concerned with the current design of boat fuel tanks, which allows excess gasoline to drain out and pollute the water. So he came up with an accessory to make the fueling process more environmentally friendly.

He developed MARINE FUELING VENT RECOVERY to reduce water pollution and eliminate wasted overflow fuel from recreational boat gas tanks. As such, it allows excess boat fuel to be collected and stored for reuse. At the same time, it prevents fuel damage and stains to boat surfaces. Thus, it saves cleanup time and effort. This boating accessory is also durable, versatile and easy to use. In addition, it is cost efficient, effective and affordably priced.

The inventor's experience with yacht charters inspired the idea. "Fueling a boat is always a messy job because when the fuel tank is full, the overflow spills down the outside of the vessel and into the water. I wanted to find a way to contain the excess fuel."

The original design was submitted to the Seattle office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
