Identix Continues to See Momentum in Live Scan: Receives Two New Order

    MINNETONKA, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2005--Identix Incorporated (Nasdaq:IDNX), the world's leading multi-biometric technology company, announced today that it has received two new purchase orders for multiple units of the Identix(R) TouchPrint(TM) 3000 line of full hand and ten-print live scan fingerprint systems. The two orders, which have an aggregate value exceeding $500,000, are for deployment of Identix TouchPrint 3800 full hand scanners and TouchPrint 3500 booking stations by two state and local governmental agencies. Some of the systems under these purchase orders shipped and were installed at the end of the Company's fiscal 2005 second quarter, which ended December 31, 2005, with the other systems expected to ship and be installed over the course of the Company's fiscal 2005 year ending June 30, 2005.
