Argent Mortgage Company Named Title Sponsor of IRL IndyCar Event at Infineon Raceway

    Business Editors/Auto Racing Writers

SONOMA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2005--Infineon Raceway and Argent Mortgage Company have entered into a partnership that will make one of the nation's leading mortgage lenders the title sponsor of the first world-class open-wheel race in 35 years at the Sonoma Valley facility, officials from both companies announced.
Argent Mortgage will become the title sponsor of the Argent Mortgage Indy Grand Prix at Infineon Raceway, Aug. 26-28. This marks the first-ever event on a permanent road course in the 10-year history of the IRL IndyCar(R) Series.
"We are proud to be the title sponsor of the Argent Mortgage Indy Grand Prix at the Sonoma facility and to be associated with this historic Indy Racing League event," said Wayne Lee, president of Argent Mortgage Company. "This partnership is a natural extension of Argent's 2005 integrated marketing program. Just as the return of open-wheel racing to a permanent road course will give IRL fans a fresh new racing experience, Argent takes an unconforming approach to mortgage lending that helps independent mortgage brokers deliver a superior lending experience for consumers across the nation."
"Argent Mortgage has been one of the strongest and most active supporters of IndyCar(R) racing in recent years. We are excited to launch this new partnership and look forward to working with Argent Mortgage on this historic event for Infineon Raceway," said Steve Page, president and general manager of Infineon Raceway.
The partnership continues a strong presence for Argent Mortgage with the IRL. The company is the Official Mortgage Company of the IRL IndyCar(R) Series and the Indianapolis 500 and is also partnering with Rahal Letterman Racing to serve as primary sponsor of the #16 Argent Mortgage/Pioneer Honda driven by Danica Patrick and co-primary sponsor of the #15 Argent Mortgage/Pioneer Honda driven by 2004 Indy 500 winner Buddy Rice.
