Ireland Unemployment Rate Falls Further
(RTTNews) - Ireland's jobless rate continued to ease in January, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted standardized unemployment rate fell slightly to 10.5 percent in January from 10.6 percent in the previous month. A year earlier, the jobless rate was 12.1 percent. The jobless rate started easing since July 2012.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the live register total decreased to 360,200 in December from 363,800 in December.
On an unadjusted basis, the live register total figure was 358,700, which was 2,600 higher than from the previous month.
