Belgium November Trade Gap Narrows
(RTTNews) - Belgium's trade deficit for November shrunk sharply from a year ago, data released by the National Bank of Belgium showed on Wednesday.
The trade deficit narrowed to EUR 0.3 billion from EUR 2 billion in the same month of 2012. In October, the country registered a surplus of EUR 0.4 billion versus a EUR 1 billion shortfall a year ago.
In November, exports rose 2.4 percent year-on-year, after a 4.1 percent increase in the previous month. Imports declined 5.4 percent annually, following a 2.3 percent fall in October.
