Australia Data On Tap For Tuesday
(RTTNews) - The Reserve Bank of Australia will on Tuesday release the minutes from its December monetary policy meeting, setting the pace for a modest day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
At the meeting, the RBA kept its benchmark cash rate on hold at 2.50 percent.
Australia also will see October results from the Conference Board's leading index, as well as November numbers for new motor vehicle sales. The CB index was up 0.3 percent in September, while vehicle sales dipped 0.7 percent on month and 3.1 percent on year in October.
Singapore will release November results for imports, exports and trade balance; in October, imports were worth SGD42.31 billion and exports were at SGD49.00 billion for a trade surplus of SGD6.69 billion.
Hong Kong will provide unemployment numbers for November, with analysts expecting the unemployment rate to hold steady at 3.3 percent.
