New York, December 18, 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service today stated that the December 16, 2013California Superior Court Proposed Statement of Decision on behalf of the plaintiffs, the People of the State of California, that it will issue a judgment totaling $1.1 billion jointly and severally against The Sherwin-Williams Company (A3/Prime-2/Negative -- "SHW") and two other co-defendants is considered a credit negative for the company, however there is no immediate impact on SHW's A3 long term rating, Prime - 2 short term rating or the existing negative outlook.
