United Rentals Q4 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - United Rentals, Inc. (URI) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $140 million or $1.31 per share, up from $41 million or $0.40 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $1.59 per share. On average, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.47 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to $1.338 billion from $1.249 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.33 billion.
