Suzuki Recalls 184,244 GM-Built Cars In U.S.

(RTTNews) - Suzuki Motor Corp. (SZKMY.PK, SZKMF.PK) is recalling 184,244 cars that were built by General Motors Co. (GM), because of an increased risk of fire.

The company is recalling the Forenza cars (model years 2004-2008) and Reno cars (model years 2005-2008) on account of a risk of possible melting of headlamp switch due to the heat generated within the headlamp switch and DRL module located on the left side of the steering column.

The Japanese auto maker said in a filing with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the remedy for the recall is still under development.
