Reliance Steel & Aluminum Bottom Line Climbs 10% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Reliance Steel & Aluminum (RS) revealed a profit for its second quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $99.5 million, or $1.36 per share. This was higher than $90.7 million, or $1.21 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.30 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.1% to $2.20 billion. This was down from $2.42 billion last year.
