Red Hat Chooses Seasoned Technical Sales Executive to Lead North American Sales; Lynne Corddry Joins Red Hat with over 20 Years of Industry Sales Experience

    RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 2005--Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq:RHAT), the world's premier open source and Linux provider, today announced the appointment of Lynne Corddry as Vice President of North American Sales. Corddry has over 20 years' experience as a sales executive in companies such as UNISYS, Network Appliance, Silicon Graphics, Inc., and Digital Equipment Corporation.
    Corddry comes to Red Hat from UNISYS Corporation where she held the position of Vice President and General Manager, Federal Systems and Technology Business Unit. She led the growth, margin and profitability of high performance enterprise solutions and services to the Federal Government with responsibility for $180M annually. Over a period of 7 months Corddry turned the Federal Business unit around to become profitable. Prior to UNISYS Corddry was Director, Federal Sales and Homeland Security at Network Appliance where she grew Federal business sector 100% year over year for 4 consecutive years.

    Corddry holds a Masters Degree in Marketing and Finance from James Madison University. She has taught and lectured extensively at George Washington University, Montgomery College and James Madison University. Corddry is a board member of the Board of the National Defense Industry Association as well as the Government Electronics Industry Alliance.
