Old Republic International Reports 6% Increase In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Old Republic International (ORI) reported earnings for its second quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $96.7 million, or $0.34 per share. This was up from $91.2 million, or $0.32 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.6% to $1.44 billion. This was up from $1.39 billion last year.
