Old Republic International Announces 42% Advance In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Old Republic International (ORI) revealed a profit for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $81.3 million, or $0.29 per share. This was up from $57.1 million, or $0.21 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $1.48 billion. This was up from $1.38 billion last year.
