MoneyGram Q2 Profit Rises; Backs FY Revenue Growth Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Money transfer and payment services firm Moneygram International Inc.(MGI) reported that its second-quarter net income increased to $25.6 million from last year's $19.1 million, with earnings per share improving to $0.40 from $0.27 in the same quarter last year.
But, Adjusted net income for the quarter declined to $17.9 million or $0.28 per share from $22.6 million or $0.32 per share in the previous year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.33 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue for the quarter grew to $372.4 million from $365.1 million in the prior year quarter. Wall Street expected revenues of $371.47 million for the quarter.
The company continues to estimate full-year constant currency revenue growth to be in the range of 1 to 3 percent and estimates full-year constant currency Adjusted EBITDA growth to be in the range of 0 to 2 percent.
