Itron Inc. Q3 Income Rises 8%

(RTTNews) - Itron Inc. (ITRI) released a profit for its third quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $16.60 million, or $0.43 per share. This was up from $15.41 million, or $0.39 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.5% to $469.09 million. This was down from $496.45 million last year.
