HBO Now Crashed By Game Of Thrones

(RTTNews) - Video streaming app HBO Now crashed during the airing of the most epic episode to date of "Game of Thrones."

Last night, thousands of Game of Thrones fans were eagerly waiting to catch the Season 6, Episode 9, "Battle of the Bastards," however, the video-streaming service went down exactly at 9:00 pm ET for many viewers.

According to HBO, high demand to watch the episode during the airing caused its servers to crash from 9 to 10 p.m ET. HBO has apologized on the Twitter for the outage.

The outage resulted an uproar on the social media from fans of the show who were using the service, some threatening to cut subscription while others asked for refund. The HBO Now service costs $14.99 per month without a cable subscription.

Two years ago, HBO Now was down for the majority of True Detective's season finale.
