Harmon Brothers Follow-Up Digital Scrapbooking Campaign for Chatbooks is a Wild Ride
PROVO, Utah, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Harmon Brothers—the Provo, Utah-based social media ad agency behind the biggest blockbuster campaigns in internet history—has captured national headlines, earned more than 1 billion views of its videos, and driven over $300 million in sales on campaigns such as Squatty Potty, Poo Pourri, Chatbooks, and Purple. Today, the agency is rolling out its highly-anticipated sequel to the original Chatbooks ad from one year ago— "Real Mom"—which has over 100 million views.
The sequel is called "If you're a good parent or want to pretend to be one, you need this app"
"Our first ad told the story of an everyday mom trying to keep up with the craziness of being a parent, which left no time to document all of life's little moments. Our customers feel like it was made just for them, and that we understand their day-to-day lives. In the second iteration, we want to reflect the fact that mom and dad are truly co-parenting, so we wanted to introduce 'Real Dad' and bring him into the mix in a strong role to reflect modern parenting," said Nate Quigley, CEO and co-founder of Chatbooks. "Despite how many challenges are thrown their way, the couple keeps pushing forward. As any mom or dad knows, parenting solutions require great resourcefulness, and the ad does a masterful job showing that Chatbooks can be one of those resources."
"I love how well the ad shows off the little moments – both good and bad," said Vanessa Quigley, Co-founder and Chatbooker-in-Chief at Chatbooks. "It's all those tiny memories that make being a parent special, and the spot is a flawless demonstration that you don't have to lose these memories inside the void of your smartphone. And it's all done in true Harmon Brothers' style – light-hearted, relatable comedy that you can't find anywhere else."

The ad for Chatbooks—the wildly popular product taking scrapbooking to the digital age—follows a married couple's attempts to document their vacation, which includes a daughter's (un)successful attempts to navigate an RV through a parking lot, an extensive collection of Lego creations, and other "picture-perfect" moments. As with any family vacation, it's a wild ride to the finish.
