Dutch Hospitals Invest in a Healthy Future with 1,2M € Ascom Communications Package
A group of four distinguished hospitals in the Netherlands, demonstrating a commitment to the welfare of staff and guests alike, is implementing an extensive, state-of-the-art wireless mission-critical communications platform provided by Ascom.
Hospitals poised to improve overall performance
The hospitals have placed a collective 1,2M € order through Ascom’s Dutch sales partner, Zetacom, for a comprehensive solution that includes a staggering 3,650 WiFi handsets, plus a central communication platform and software—all of which will serve to enhance clinical workflow, facilitate better contact between patients and caregivers, and streamline administrative processes like purchasing, maintenance and technical management. The order will be delivered this year in four phases to Vlietland Hospital in Schiedam, Sint Franciscus Gasthuis in Rotterdam, Reinier de Graaf Hospital in Delft and Haga Hospital in The Hague.
Innovative technology eases burdens on staff
To help them meet the challenges of patient-centered care, the hospitals will rely on the groundbreaking i62 WiFi handset, a smarter communications device that boasts a reputation for unmatched reliability and flexibility. Among the handset’s many impressive features is its ability to integrate seamlessly with other communications systems, such as nurse call and Unite Assign, which will enable busy nursing departments to more efficiently exchange information and respond to alarms.
"We are proud to be able to deliver complete solutions to these prominent hospitals. Several of them are already using Ascom’s nurse call solutions with very satisfactory results, which is part of the reason why they decided to go with Ascom again,” says Dennis Andersson, Vice President, Global Sales at Ascom Wireless Solutions.
Ascom is a market leader in mission-critical communication solutions for the Healthcare sector. Their sales partner Zetacom is an innovative system integrator that specializes in providing health care solutions in the Netherlands.
