CPSC Commissioner Peter Feldman Joins National Fireworks Association to Promote Fireworks Safety Ahead of the Fourth of July
WASHINGTON, June 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Commissioner Peter Feldman of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Steve Houser, President of the National Fireworks Association (NFA) released the following video reminding Americans to celebrate the Fourth of July with consumer fireworks safely.
"Each year, the Commission plays an important role in making sure the consumer fireworks used at your neighborhood gatherings and backyard barbecues are safe," Feldman says in the video. "I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July and remind everyone to follow these tips and shoot safely."

Last year, Americans celebrated the Fourth of July with nearly $2 billion worth of consumer fireworks.
In the video, Feldman and Houser recommended the following safety tips for those choosing to celebrate America's birthday around backyards and bonfires with consumer fireworks.
