ChipMOS Technologies Q4 Profit More Than Triples

(RTTNews) - ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) Ltd. (IMOS) reported net income for the fourth quarter of US$18.7 million or US$0.63 per share, compared to US$5.4 million or US$0.18 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net revenue for the fourth quarter rose 18.5% to US$183.4 million from US$154.7 million for the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.41 per share on revenue of $188.35 million for the fourth quarter.

Looking forward, the company said it expects first quarter revenue to decrease about 8% to 12% sequentially, mainly reflecting seasonality in LCD driver for small panels and memory products. The company expects first quarter gross margin to be in the range of 21% to 24%.
