Cerner's Zane Burke Steps Down As President

(RTTNews) - Zane Burke, president of Cerner Corp. (CERN) is stepping down on November 2. The company cited no reason for his departure.

Zane Burke joined Cerner in 1996, and held a range of executive positions across sales, implementation, support and finance before assuming the role of president in 2013.

Effective immediately, John Peterzalek, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Client Relationships, will assume Burke's responsibilities and the title of Chief Client Officer.

Commenting on Burke's exit, Cerner Chairman and CEO Brent Shafer said, "We thank Zane for his contributions to Cerner across more than two decades. Zane leaves the company with a strong client focus and commitment to continued innovation, partnership and sustainable growth deeply engrained in our culture and leadership philosophy. I am very confident in the capabilities of Cerner's strong and experienced leadership team."

Cerner reaffirmed its earnings and revenue outlook for the third quarter and full-year as shared at the time of reporting its second quarter financial results on August 2.

For the third quarter, adjusted EPS is expected to be 62 to 64 cents per share on revenue between $1.335 and $1.385 billion. Adjusted EPS was 61 cents per share on revenue of $1.276 billion in the third quarter of 2017.

Looking ahead to the full year, the Company continues to expect adjusted EPS to be $2.45 to $2.55 on revenue between $5.325 billion and $5.450 billion. Adjusted EPS was $2.38 and revenue was $5.142 billion in 2017.

CERN closed Monday's trading at $63.22, down 1.57%.
