Bankrate Appoints Steven Barnhart As CFO

(RTTNews) - Bankrate, Inc. (RATE) said Thursday that it has appointed Steven Barnhart as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Barnhart has held the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer since September 2014.

Prior to joining Bankrate in September, Barnhart was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores. Prior to that, he was CFO at Bally Total Fitness. From 2003 to 2009, Barnhart served in various executive leadership roles at Orbitz Worldwide (OWW), including Chief Financial Officer, President and then Chief Executive Officer. From 1990 to 2003, Barnhart served in various finance and strategy roles for PepsiCo, and as Finance Director, Southeast Business Unit, The Pepsi Bottling Group.
