Advent Software Posts Loss; Lifts Lower End Of FY Revenue Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Advent Software Inc. (ADVS) Monday reported second-quarter net loss of $4 million or $0.08 per share, compared with net income of $7 million or $0.14 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $19.7 million or $0.37 per share, compared with $12 million or $0.24 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $96 million, compared with $89.7 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.31 per share on revenues of $94.46 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects revenues of $93 million to $95 million, while analysts estimate $94.86 million.

For the full year 2013, the company now expects revenues of $375 million to $379 million, compared with prior range of $373 million to $379 million. Analysts expect revenues of $378.18 million.
